Supply-chain leadership from the buying desk to the executive table.
Melissa Mize is a manufacturing supply-chain and procurement executive with more than 18 years of experience helping organizations reduce cost, strengthen supplier performance, improve purchasing, and build supply chains capable of supporting growth.
Her career progressed from Buyer through Supply Chain Director, giving her hands-on experience at every level of the purchasing organization. Melissa has managed more than $100 million in spend, led teams of up to 20 people, and worked across multi-plant manufacturing environments including pharmaceuticals, plastics, packaging, and industrial products.
Melissa has delivered more than $3 million in documented cost savings. Her results include more than $2 million through sourcing, supplier changes, specification changes, redesign, and commercial negotiations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. She also led a sourcing initiative that generated approximately $1.3 million in annual savings while addressing quality, delivery, lead-time, and sole-source supplier risk.
Her experience includes reducing inventory by approximately $800,000, eliminating avoidable logistics and demurrage costs, and implementing standardized purchasing controls across four manufacturing plants. She also helps manufacturers prepare for growth by evaluating supplier capacity, material availability, inventory requirements, logistics, finished-goods needs, and internal material flow before constraints reach production or customers.
Through Global Supply Chain Advisors and Core Alliance Group, Melissa helps small and mid-sized manufacturers bring margin pressure, supply disruption, purchasing overload, and growth constraints under control.
